Farmers disrupt construction work in Greater Noida

Work stoped in Greater NoidaThe construction work by various real estate developers in Greater Noida was disrupted due to the protests by hundreds of farmers from 39 villages.?The agitators dismantled sheds of various developers in Greater Noida East.

A leader from the farmer?s association told that they held panchayat at Bisrakh village and decided to halt the construction work of each site in Greater Noida.

Farmers are seeking?resolution?of their land-related demands. Developers were told not to resume the housing projects till their demands were fulfilled by the Greater Noida Authority. The farmers not only stopped the construction work but also broke the offices of the builders in Greater Noida West.

The main projects that are getting hampered due to this protest are Amrapali , Gaur City and Anjara.

The farmers association said that, the developers are not paying their dues to the authority so the authority is not taking proper steps and the issues stays stagnant.

The farmers also threatened that they will lock the greater Noida Authority?s office if the authorities do not take any action on this issue. They also said they are preparing for another protest on February 21.
