DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Hundreds of teams made a stride in the fight against breast cancer Saturday morning in Downtown Dayton.
Runners and walkers clad in pink gathered at the Dayton Dragons Fifth Third Field for a family friendly walk around the city.
Saturday's event was all part of the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
More than 500 teams made up of families, friends, and organizations walked on behalf of loved ones diagnosed with breast cancer.
Pink-ribbon-driven folks walked slightly more than three miles to show their support for finding a cure.
The American Cancer Society also set up booths and information tables to educate people about breast cancer.
All donations and proceeds from the walk go to benefit the American Cancer Society.
The Bob Ross Auto Group and the Kettering Health Network were some of the sponsors of Saturday's walk.
